I browsed the various borads, websites and such to gather up as many ideas as I could before I finally figured out a plan. I then went to Northern Tools to scope out their stuff and ended up with the following:
Front 8" semi=pneumatic swivel castors
Rear 12" semi-pneumatic spoked tires
Four outlet electrical box with 50' heavy duty cord
1/2" X 36" cold rolled steal rod
Scrounging around a junk yard a few months ago I found a perfect bottle rack. Came from an ambulance as was used to store oxygen bottles. Super heavy duty and fit my bottle perfectly and was tall enough to provide protection for the gauge assembly as well.
I had some scrap tubing and aluminum diamond plate from other projects already in the garage so with a basic plan and some parts I went to it and here is what I came up with:
I have been using it for a few weeks and love it! I have been adding hooks and things for the cords and bought some slides to make a drawer under the top shelf to hold the consumables I mentioned above. I haven't painted it yet as I want to wait until I know I am as happy as I can be with it then tear it down for some IH red paint.
Overall it was a fun project and fits my needs perfectly.
